This Waipa District Development and Subdivision Manual (the Manual), is part of a new integrated approach to development and subdivision within the Waipa District (the District). These new elements include the staging of new growth areas that are coordinated with appropriate provision of infrastructure, the requirement for a low impact design approach to infrastructure, the provision for areas of compact housing within town centres, and the requirement for an enhanced level of amenity through higher levels of urban design, particularly in the commercial centres of the District.
