TEXT HIGHLIGHT MAIN PIC

NOW YOU CAN HIGHLIGHT TEXT IN MASTERSPEC NEXTGEN2

Simply select any text within a work section clause, then select the new Highlight  button on the editing tool task bar. With Highlighting you can notify others of changes or work left to do, and output your specification with or without highlights. Highlighting enhances your user experience and workflow with the touch of a button.

See below for easy instructions on using this new tool - only on Masterspec NextGen2.

 

HIGHLIGHTING TEXT IN A WORK SECTION CLAUSE

  In Edit mode select the clause where you wish to add highlighting.  SELECT-CLAUSE-TO-EDIT
  With your mouse select the text to be highlighted.

 

 SELECT-TEXT-TO-HIGHLIGHT
  Press the new highlight tool in the Clause Editing tool bar.

 

 SELECT-HIGHLIGHT-BUTTON
  Save your work.

 

Note - to remove the highlight simply select the highlighted text and deselect the highlight tool button.

REMOVE HIGHLIGHTS FROM ALL CLAUSES IN A WORK SECTION

  In Edit mode select the ‘More Tools’ drop down on the top tools panel.

 

 

 MORE-TOOLS-OPEN
  Select ‘Remove highlights all clauses’.

 

 

 

SELECT-MORE-TOOLS 
  Save your work.

 

Note - to stop highlighting simply deselect the highlight tool

MORE-TOOLS-CLOSED 

 

OUTPUT YOUR SPECIFICATION WITH OR WITHOUT HIGHLIGHTS

  In Export mode choose what type of output your require.

Note - due to a conflict with Microsoft® Word highlighting will only output in a pdf or Online document.

 select-compact-pdf
  Choose to Hide or Show all yellow text highlighting - by default the check box is not selected. Output as normal.

Note - using this tool on output will not change highlights within the project

 Select-Hide-or-show-tick
  If you select a Microsoft® Word output the check button is greyed out and the tool will not show any highlights.
