GREEN STAR UPDATE TO VERSION 3.2

31 Jan 2018

For the last several months Masterspec has been in close contact with the New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC) over their development of updates to the old Green Star Technical Manual v3.1. NZGBC's cooperation allowed us to prepare for the release of the new Green Star Technical Manual v3.2, and, even with the Christmas interruption, we have now published the up to date Masterspec Green Star sections.

This the newest version, Green Star Technical Manual v3.2, is effective from 1st January 2018.

The last date for registering projects under the old Green Star v3.1 was 31st December 2017.

Over the years, Green Star v3.1 has had a number of Technical Clarifications and corrections issued. These clarifications and corrections have now been included directly into v3.2 and are briefly described in a change log at the front of each Green Star section.

Discussions with NZGBC have not only assisted Masterspec prepare for the updates to v3.2, but it also allowed us to carry out some other useful updates to the  Masterspec related sections as well as a general review. Masterspec Sections affected are 1226GD  GREEN STAR PROJECT - SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS and 1226GO GREEN STAR - TECHNICAL CREDIT SCHEDULE (available in Standard, Services, Landscapes, Interiors, Structural & Civil).
Discussions also allowed a review and update of the Green Star Interiors Masterspec section 1226GT GREEN STAR INTERIORS - TECHNICAL CREDIT SCHEDULE (available in Standard, Services, Interiors, Structural & Civil).
For general updates see section details below.

NOTE: - The NZGBC website has not been fully updated yet and still has a lot of references, resources and links related to v3.1. This can be a little confusing, so keep this in mind when visiting the Green Star site.  We understand that NZGBC are working on updating the web site.
