MASTERSPEC RELEASE 12 NEW SERVICES ENGINEERING WORK SECTIONS.

Pump room

The addition of 12 new sections to Masterspec Services increases the total number of Engineer based specialist Mechanical and Electrical sections to 33 sections (39 including branded sections).

This is on top of the nearly 80 semi-specialist services sections, suitable for Engineers and non-engineers.

Altogether Masterspec Services will now have over 260 sections covering services engineering project requirements including

  • general matters
  • specialist work
  • semi-specialist work
  • general work

Masterspec Services also allows for a wide range of general related work to be specified, including;

  • timber work
  • concrete work
  • steel work
  • linings
  • fire/acoustic doors
  • platforms
  • sealants
  • wall insulation
  • painting/protective coatings

The new sections are:

  • 7611 CHILLERS
  • 7614 MECHANICAL PUMPS
  • 7615 TANKS, VESSELS AND HEAT EXCHANGERS
  • 7616 WATER HEATING BOILERS
  • 7622 AIR HANDLING PLANT
  • 7624 AIR FILTERS
  • 7645 LIQUID FUEL SYSTEM
  • 7681 AUTOMATIC CONTROLS MECHANICAL
  • 7716 POWER GENERATION - ENGINE DRIVEN
  • 7727 POWER FACTOR CORRECTION
  • 7732 UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY (UPS)
  • 7785 LIGHTNING PROTECTION

The new sections have increased the size of projects that can now be specified. To allow for this there has been a slight rearrangement of some existing sections

  • The old section 7622 AIR HANDLING PLANT has been renumbered and renamed 7620 FAN COIL UNITS - it's intended for smaller, simpler projects
  • The new section 7622 AIR HANDLING PLANT should now be chosen for larger more complex projects
  • The old section 7681 AUTOMATIC CONTROLS MECHANICAL has been renumbered and renamed 7680 MECHANICAL CONTROLS - again it's intended for the smaller, simpler project
  • The new section 7681 AUTOMATIC CONTROLS MECHANICAL is suitable for larger more complex projects
  • The old 7600 MECHANICAL GENERAL has been renamed 7600 MECHANICAL - COMMON REQUIREMENTS
  • The old 7707 ELECTRICAL - GENERAL  has been renamed  7707 ELECTRICAL - COMMON REQUIREMENTS

These last two changes should avoid any confusion with the main project specification General sections.
