CHANGES TO GENERIC SECTION 8430 FENCES

The generic section 8430 FENCES has been updated along with related sections 8440 GARDEN WALLS and 8420 MISCELLANEOUS SITE WORKS.

Key aspects of the changes are as follows:

  • 8430 FENCES has been renamed 8430 FENCES & GATES.
  • Details relating to gates have been expanded to include pedestrian and vehicular gates, and options for automation and control of automated gates.
  • AS/NZS Standard AS/NZS 60335.2.103 - Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety - Part 2. 103: Particular requirements for drives for gates, doors and windows, has been added to cover electrical requirements of automated gates.
  • Performance clause added to cover design wind parameters.
  • Information for operation and maintenance clause has been added for automatic gates.
  • Sections 8440 GARDEN WALLS and 8420 MISCELLANEOUS SITE WORKS have been updated with minor references added to reflect changes to 8430 FENCES & GATES.
8430 FENCES & GATES is now available in STANDARD as well as STRUCTURAL & CIVIL and LANDSCAPES.
