What is eCert?
eCert is a feature built into Masterspec as a response to requests from designers and specifiers to see and evaluate product environmental information on the platform. We have automated and included the content into the specifications.
Specifiers requested us to make a specific range of certifications available on the platform.
- eCert currently supports the following certificates:
- Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs)
- Declare
- Toitū
- Eco Choice
- Green Tag
- Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
- Programme Endorsement Forest Certification (PEFC)
Benefit for Product Partners
If your company’s environmental certificates are uploaded and made available in eCerts, you are enabling designers and specifiers to make informed decisions on their product selection, giving them another reason to specify your products.
If you would like to include any of the seven types of environmental certificates to your work section, you can upload them to eCert through your partner portal.
Note that uploading your certificates does not mean they are immediately published and available for designers review.
There is a stage-gate process in place where our editor team will check, substantiate, and then associate your submitted certificates to your work sections.
After substantiating your environmental certificates, our editors will then publish the certificates for specifiers to view, compare and attach to their specifications.
In this video, we will be showing you how to upload and manage environmental certificates in your partner portal.
