GREENSTAR & HOMESTAR UPDATES

For subscribers using our Homestar and Greenstar general sections we've recently revised these sections due to the adoption of Green Star – Design & As Built NZv1.1 and the new Homestar v5 Technical Manual. Find out about recent and further planned updates.
 
Greenstar sections:
  • 1226GD Green Star Project - Special Requirements
  • 1226GO Green Star Design & As Built - Credit Schedule
  • 1226GT Green Star Interiors - Credit Schedule

We have been working with the NZGBC to reflect the transition to Green Star Design & As Built NZ v1.1 and Green Star Interiors NZ v1.1 within the Masterspec sections. On 28 October 2022, registrations for Green Star Design & As Built NZ version 1.0 will close.  After this date, all projects must register under the latest version of Green Star – Design & As Built NZv1.1. The NZGBC is currently seeking clarity on contractors’ requirements in relation to Credit 19 Life Cycle Impacts which may impact the updates to the Masterspec sections. We will wait for clarity on this item before publishing an update to include the new versions.

Homestar Sections

  • 1226HM Homestar Project - Special Requirements
  • 1226HT Homestar Project - Sustainable Materials
Both sections have previously been updated to accommodate the new Homestar v5 Technical Manual. The transition period allowing for registration under Homestar v4.1 or V5 and was to have ended on 30th June 2022. This transition period to V5 now ends on 31 January 2023. Masterspec is no longer supporting the superseded sections referencing v4.1, but an electronic reference copy can be provided on request.
