Altus NZ Ltd are currently undertaking a complete review of their existing sections. This involves the introduction of new sections, the replacement of some sections and major changes to others; all as part of a rebranding exercise of Fletcher Aluminium and NALCO to ALTUS. The changes may mean that you should look at updating any current specifications or office masters to the latest section.
This process was initiated last month with the existing sections published with new titles reflecting the change to ALTUS. Also included was the removal of all references to Fletcher Window & Door Systems (FWDS) and updating of contact details.
The first new section to be published is 4521NR ALTUS RESIDENTIAL ALUMINIUM WINDOWS & DOORS.
Key aspects of the new section are as follows:
- Content is based on the old NALCO residential section with the addition of FWDS Pacific Residential, Pacific Architectural and Atlantic® High Performance Suites and the deletion of AllSeasons™ Suite. The first three suites have been relocated from sections that have been replaced and the fourth suite will be reassigned to the yet to be updated Thermal section.
- Re-ordering of clauses and simplification of content has been carried out focussing on section 4 SELECTIONS of the specification.
- All sections will retain existing CBI numbers and suffixes.
Over the next few months the balance of the new and changed sections (8 in total) will be published progressively.
