Masterspec continues to support both students and industry professionals with ongoing training that responds directly to New Zealand’s fast-evolving construction sector.
These training sessions are focused on building confidence in specification writing, promote best-practice documentation, and spark conversations about what are the current and future needs of the built industry.
University Trainings: Otago Polytechnic
After Masterspec training at Unitec in Auckland, last week turn was for Otago Polytechnic in Dunedin to continue our training with future Aotearoa specifiers.
The session introduced students to the importance of clear, current, and coordinated specification documentation, while encouraging discussion about new ideas, emerging expectations, and the future direction of construction in New Zealand.
Mastering the Specification Writing with Masterspec: CPD Training in Dunedin
Alongside our university training, Masterspec delivers a CPD training in Dunedin as part of our nationwide programme supporting registered architects with their ongoing professional development requirements.
The session focused on Navigating the Tools and Techniques of Masterspec Specification Writing, including how to navigate work sections and categories, edit specifications, and use tools such as mDocs, MasterKey, eCerts, Neco2, and the Support work section to streamline specification creation.

We welcome collaborative discussions with heads of architecture and engineering schools, as well as programme leaders, who are interested in scheduling specification training tailored to their curriculum and their students' needs.
